Somewhere in the green bubbles. This is just a big picture view of the game that abstracts away a lot of the details, and just attempts to explain why people turn on leaders. I feel like there might be a way to numerically assign stress levels to individuals and the network as a whole based on 1. the number of unbalanced triads 2. the relative size of the two subgroups (if there are two subgroups) with the most stressful situation being all green: which is a terrifying standoff where nobody knows who's next, the next most stressful being half and half: since it naturally flows into a majority/minority split, then as the bigger group gets bigger and the smaller group gets smaller, it becomes less and less stressful, until you have an entire tribe united against one person as the least stressful situation. I think if you ignore unbalanced triads, and you assume the graph of N players is balanced into two major factions of size A and B (A + B = N), we can say the overall stress of the balanced network is equal to 1 | if A or B = 0 | min(A/N, B/N) | otherwise |
and we can say that the network will engage in a dynamic process to try to re-arrange itself to minimize its stress level (ie. agree on a consesnus target)
