I mean it's not worded that way in y'alls rules but the way it was worded in the previous 2 was
" II. If a majority is not met in the revote, all tied players and immune players become instantly immune and the remaining players will draw rocks for elimination. In a Final 4 TC, rocks will not be drawn, and the tied players will participate in a tiebreaker challenge. It will not be a fun tiebreaker challenge."
And in PCW was
"{23} If a majority is not met in the revote, all tied players and immune players become instantly immune and the remaining players will draw rocks for elimination. Note that this applies even if, say, a three-way tie becomes a two-way tie. In this scenario, only the players in the two-way tie would be immune for the rock draw. in a Final 4 TC, rocks will not be drawn, and tied players will participate in a tiebreaker challenge."
Not saying it should count as a challenge, but this is probably why we assumed it would.

T&H are also I believe the most successful hydra of all time, so it hasn't come up previously. There has never been a hydra in the F4.

I'm really interested in having that postgame hydra discussion following T&H now. I was a bit worried that shenanigans would ensue and we won't have a talking point, but all three hydras made it far enough that there's a decent chunk to discuss.

I assumed it would count as a challenge. I think it's confusing. I mean, it's not taking place during the challenge phase of a vote cycle, but instead during the vote phase. It's definitely something different in my mind, but I don't know exactly what it is, so I was actually wondering how the player would be decided.

I've never played with a hydra and they're still a tiny bit weird to me. I believe T&H's confessional is mostly Hare, but does Tortoise use it sometimes? It's hard to know.
For me I guess, Survivor is so much about your individual bonds with people and I tend to build extremely tight bonds with one person, and with two people there, it seems harder to really have that deep connection. But it seems like T&H made it work for them.

It definitely disrupts the interpersonal dynamic to have two people occupying one player slot.
Also curious to see them at FTC bc that is totally new ground, so I hope they make it.
I think I want F3 to be T&H, Avocado and Dark Rey.

Seeing them at FTC would be super cool. I want to see jurors direct some questions specifically to Tortoise and others specifically to Hare.
Tortoise always writes in giant font to distinguish himself, so as you can tell the confessional is basically 100% Hare, although there were some tortoise posts early on.

And the other side of this is, it makes it possible to develop a really strong individual bond with somebody and have that same player slot vote you out for not developing a strong enough individual bond with the other half. I personally don't think hydras have any place in these games for a variety of reasons that I'll be addressing when this comes up postgame, and if I was in a position where I was willing to play games, I would probably refuse to play games that have them.

Fwiw, I've never had this issue with a hydra, and I've been in games for extended periods with two of them (Flim&Flam and Korekiyo). Hydra votes are rarely a one person decision, and when they are it's generally the same head that you've been talking to because the other one is less active.

Yeah if our games on here were like a sport where we competed for high stakes and cash prizes then I'd be against hydras. But I think the benefits of them far outweigh the cons. Like they allow people who want to play together to have fun to well, play together to have fun, they can help people who have other obligations during a game (like Tortoise) and can help newbies get experience in a way they aren't being fed to the wolves. I don't think the cons of playing against a hydra are really enough for them to not be a very good.

They also mean fewer people get cut since 2 people can take up 1 slot. Though obviously that becomes a con while the game is below filling.

I uh don't want to notify Cleric and Rey, but they're both voting different people and that will look disastrous if that gets through.
I mean I won't, because that's interfering with that game, but THAT WOULD BE SUCH A DISASTER.

If Cleric forgets to change and kills himself, he deserves to go home.
