Idol Pieces Congratulations, you just found an idol piece! Currently, this item does nothing. However, if at any point you have the every Idol Piece for this idol remaining in the game, it will turn into a fully functioning Hidden Immunity Idol! At that point, you may play it at any Tribal Council on any player (yourself or otherwise). Any votes cast against them at that Tribal Council do not count. This item, regardless of if it is a full Idol or not, expires once the Final 5 has passed.

I don't really love that Grogu and Ranger didn't go home at all despite being voted out, and in fact effectively got Immunity for two rounds. That seems like a reward for what should have been a punishment.

They also get to handpick what tribes they end up on.
It doesn't sit well with me.

That seems like a reward for what should have been a punishment. Ranger and Bonobo were both swapfucked, but Bonobo put in work and bonded with his tribe, while Ranger sat back and got voted out. Now Ranger has immunity for two rounds and gets to join his allies, while Bonobo has to reintegrate into a new tribe and is guaranteed to go to tribal council. It's super unfair.

The alternative was handing them both idols because I like this concept but find that the second you put someone on exile they just become easy TC fodder almost no matter who it is. This game is called Barely Survivor and we put a fair warning on the game in bold red text.
This game wasn't going to be standard. It never was, and the main focal point on its complexity is how the players in the game deal with situations like this.
Is it fair? No. But Bonobo gets a chance to integrate themselves into their tribe before Ranger and Grogu, and also gets to play for an idol piece as well, which IS STILL HIDDEN.
EDIT: I would also like to make this very clear. I put this game together largely as a solo effort in a time crunch. Pine was sick basically the entire design period with COVID and Meme was far too busy with school at the time. This game was put together because something had to run, and I had an idea that ultimately was not this but became this anyways. I'm built with designed to be fun and silly, and here I am about to get angry. This is also a game made by me with game design knowledge that's hella outdated.
I'm taking the rest of the night off before I say something I regret.

The initial draft actually had them going home. They were sent to exile instead because it didn't feel right to have the player who goes home in Gummy Bear's spot to have auto-immunity and then get back into the game, while the players who went out next would have an outright worse result.
Which... kind of just pushed the issue back a round. I think there are definitely better ways we could have done this - probably informing players that they'd be voting someone into exile would be the easiest one - but as Silver mentioned, this game was kind of rushed through the design phase to make sure something ran!
At the end of the day, it's a twist that players will have to take in their stride. It's not the most fair, but it is a complex game.
