This is the continent of Thalrissia. Or, I should say, was the continent of Thalrissia, ten years ago.

A little over nine years ago, a Blight appeared on the western side of the continent and spread rapidly (yes I know, a bit too real, but this was designed before all that ). This is the Blight, and nobody is quite sure how it originated. It spread rapidly, causing everywhere it infected to be devastated and left to die. So why has it stopped spreading?

The Mages of Podan noted, when the western half of their country was devastated, that the blight does not survive contact with water. As such, they erected a huge water wall along the rivers on the western border of Laruch, and down through Lesser Illyria, cutting off a large portion of the land of the latter but preventing the blight from spreading any further. Mages of Podan man this wall at all times, using their magic to keep the barrier up.
