I got mod clarification that I can reply to this. There's no question here. Just clearing up some things you said in your opening speech since you decided to dedicate it to trying to attack me not from within the game, but attacking the person outside of it. Feel free to skim this if you aren't Avocado. I never called you an idiot. I never said I hated you for the entire game. I never said you were a trash, mopey player.
This is you being a martyr and a victim once again. Even when making things personal, you're inventing things nobody said to try and wrap the narrative around yourself. You have taken two PMs from me, one in which I did say to enjoy second place because you were making a game losing decision and that I've disliked playing with you, and another telling you to just own your shadiness instead of playing the Woe Is Avocado game.
My dislike of you stops and ends at you, the player. How could I know you as anything but that? You didn't bother discussing yourself, your hopes, dreams, likes, dislikes, anything. You openly held contempt for those you didn't find useful. And you were just as schemey and mustache-twirling as anybody else in the game, maybe doubly so. That's why it's infinitely frustrating that you then would tuck tail and whine and complain about being treated unfairly and how everybody disliked you and make yourself into a victim. A martyr in only your own mind.
Yes, your open, shameless, gamebot playstyle rubbed some people the wrong way. You also made things too personal, like openly mocking Dave for saying "pithy retort" by implying he's some neckbeard. In a game this long and this exhausting, you didn't pretend to give a shit about the people behind the keyboard/screen. People told me what you really thought of me. Just had to stomach you because you kept hanging around. You're here partially because you did so much to irritate so many people that you started to be viewed as a goat at the end of the game because people would be bitter towards you.
In any case -- we can discuss whatever you want after the game if you feel personally slighted by my in-game contextualizing of your play. I disliked you as a player and wish I had not had to spend so many rounds with you the player. It has nothing to do with a personal attack on you, the person behind the keyboard, and if words said in a Survivor game about your playstyle are having a massive effect on you and making you feel like shit and all that, I think maybe you need to do some reflecting on this experience too.
Not once did I attack you as the person behind the game, but you did exactly that in your opening speech. You're right in the assumption that you will not have my vote under any circumstances. Before, on the jury, I at least gave it some percentage chance that could happen. The way you openly attacked me as a human being behind the screen in your opening speech shot that chance to shit, and I hope nobody else rewards your vitriolic bullshit either.

what can i say. it's okay to be jealous of my style. i feel like there are a lot of things in there that are straight up untruthful and whatever but i'm not looking to start an argument and i just wanna keep this thing civil. for now since it seems like we can't have a constructive or civil conversation i'd like you to refrain from posting in my thread from here on out

if im a goat then so be it. i wont really be upset if i get zero votes, but that doesn't mean i dont wanna win either. i'm at least gonna take satisfaction in the fact that if i don't win, one of two people who respects me can instead

Hello, Avocado!
First of all I believe all of the negative stuff people have been alluding to happened after I was already eliminated from the game, and you voting for me didn't seem mean-spirited or jerkish at all. So I am a little curious what specifically you did that feel classifies your game as particularly villainous, but not curious enough to waste a question asking about it so don't worry about it.
The one word that strikes me as most noticeable about your game is the word "visibility". Between being the last Food, being sent to exile, playing several Prime Idols, and then being a prominent member of not one but two Power Couples, staying under the radar was never an option for you. How did you turn this visibility to your advantage when most players would have melted under the intense spotlight?

Hi Avo, congrats on making it this far! Our minds are still waiting to be made up.
What was the most "villainous" thing you did in the game? Why was it necessary? Do you think you played a more villainous game than T+H? Why do you think you are viewed as a villain more than them?

that's a great question. i think that throughout this game, there were practically always eyes on me because of the way my tribemates dropped like flies early on, because of the strong connection that i had with bard, one of the (if not the absolute) biggest threat in the game, and the four man alliance i had with droids and t/h (as well as ranger for the very early merge) that served to completely draw attention to me. i was always in a sort of spot where i was going to be a huge target post-merge because of that, and many people seemed very keen on taking a shot at the quartet that had formed (and you in particular noticed the exact threat that our group posed, which is why i spent time sowing the seeds that resulted in your elimination) with myself and bard as the clear heads of the operation. you're absolutely right about the fact that i was absolutely and constantly in the spotlight in literally any given round you choose, whether it's as a target or i had immunity or something
i feel as if my status as a huge, visible threat initially worked against me because i was an attention magnet that everyone wanted to use as a meat shield or easy number and discard immediately, but i managed to eventually convert that status into a solid safety net by selling the fact that i would be an easy boot down the line, that i wasn't as proficient in challenges as people would believe, and that i was steadily losing connections an power (which was true in and of itself). the way i sold my game and threw everything at the wall to see if things stuck and made effort to put myself into situations where people needed me invariably served to protect me down the line simply because i was such an appetizing meat shield and people believed that i could go at any time. it's pretty clear that this isn't a shining example of a game that was able to have a lot of wiggle room strategically like dark rey's, or establish under the radar connections to propel myself forward like t/h did, but it's a very open and clear one where a lot of people were able to get a sense of the game i was playing and the ways i was able to save myself as my journey continued.
if you're contrasting the three of our playstyles against one another, then i think that mine definitively has the strongest risk versus reward out of all of them, and that my own perseverance and ability to live long past when i should have rightfully gone out is more than enough to give me a fighting chance here.

Hi Avo, congrats on making it this far! Our minds are still waiting to be made up. What was the most "villainous" thing you did in the game? Why was it necessary? Do you think you played a more villainous game than T+H? Why do you think you are viewed as a villain more than them?-C-3PO & R2 i feel as if the most villainous thing that i did was not strongly fight to defend bard when the tribal council where you were eliminated rolled around. i sincerely believed that we had the ability to turn it onto someone else thanks to the idol that they had told me about, and i went against my own morality in order to try and preserve our foursome for another round. unfortunately, that wasn't completely necessary at all and you ended up being eliminated anyway, and that round is definitely one where i very much regret how it played out in retrospect and can be pinpointed as the place where i started to lose a lot of control that i had built up heading into the merge (though people were wanting to take a shot at our quartet long before that happened). in terms of underhanded strategic play and being villainous in that regard, i feel as if stealing the idol out from under bees' nose when the people who hadn't been voted out yet were coordinating for it was something that was almost entirely necessary to keep myself out since i had been made aware of the fact that people were angling to eliminate me even before the tribal council began, and that i especially needed the idol during that round in order to keep my name out of other peoples' mouths and attempt to lay low and recuperate during the time after my closest ally had been completely blindsided. obviously this move was one that made bees upset at me, but it was something that i felt was a risk that i needed to take given how he had thrown me under the bus more than once in the past. granted, it did set up the conflict between us in the final six, but that's something that i think pretty much everyone knows about by now did i play a more villainous game than t/h? i think so, yes. i was willing to fight tooth and nail to do anything that it takes to make it to the next round time after time again, and i ended up reaping the rewards for my efforts by making it to the final tribal council where i'm able to plead my case in front of a jury of my peers. i've had to make more risky and visible plays than them at every twist and turn, and it's pretty clear that that you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. however, i think that even if i'm perceived as more of a villain, i didn't go out of my way to play a villainous game-- i just did the best i could with the hand that i had been dealt

Initially I was worried about it being impossible to get to the end with Avocado because of how visibly he was playing. Fortunately, when we got down to F6, we were the last person in the game who Avocado felt respected by, and because of that we were able to go to the end with him rather easily. Since no one else thought to give him a chance, he was loyal to us, and we were loyal back to him in return. I believe we had a lot of control over that: with only one item and one person who trusted us, we were able to take down the alliance with 7+ items that wanted him gone next.
for reference, this was only specifically after the admittedly emotionally charged pm from bees, and even then it didn't last that long because rey and cleric and i were able to leave on even terms, and it's clear from this tribal that bees also respects me and the way i played. i just felt down in the dumps at that point because i was faced with a very difficult situation in terms of loyalty, i've always been loyal to the people that i've been working with, and the fact that i consider you a friend doesn't necessarily mean i was always under your wing and following along with whatever idea you had come up with

I apologize, but you lost my vote when you told me you weren't playing to win and just hoping to get F6. I don't respect going against that win condition. Additionally, we both broke our promises to each other which included the jury vote. Though I respect the move. I wish you the best of luck!

wasn't being entirely truthful on the first part, but i think that the breaking of promises to each other is pretty valid. i respect you being open like that and being real right out of the gate. thank you for not stringing me along and i hope i made this game at least somewhat more entertaining to play for you
